Lace for beginners

Are you one of those people who has seen lace and thought that I will never do that? Is it too hard or I don't have time for that? So join the workshop and get an insight into the wonderful world of lace.

The lace has changed a lot over time. The technique is the same, whether it is cobweb thin threads or thicker thread, twine and string. It can also be rope. From fine bookmarks and handkerchiefs, which are still being laced, today scarves, shawls, pictures, hangers and much more are knitted in various materials. We will show you the basic strokes and you will get to pinch a little test piece. During the workshop you will be able to see examples of both fine and coarse lace.
