Do you dream of exploring the colorful world of plant coloring? In this basic course you will have the opportunity to try dyeing your own yarn with natural dyes, both with plants from Danish nature and with historical dyes such as Kraprod and Cochenille.

Together we are going to color 10 beautiful colors. The colour palette has been carefully put together to give you a broad and varied insight into the world of natural colours, while also learning about the historical techniques and processes behind plant dyeing with fresh and dried plants.

The course is both practical and educational, where we colour on small 10g bold so that you get a tangible understanding of the techniques and processes of plant colouring. You will gain insight into the different plants and dyes, as well as how they can best be used to create the desired colors. During the course we will work together to produce the many beautiful colors. When the course is over, you head home with your own palette of naturally colored yarns.

**About the Educator: **

Your teacher is Lotte Denckert, who runs the small distribution company Plantefarveren.dk every day. Lotte's adventure in this magical world of natural colors began when she first dived into a dye pot with some cheap wool yarn from Rema 1000. The transformation that took place as the white yarn gradually became enveloped in the most beautiful colors was like magic unfolding before her eyes, magic created with her own hands.

Lotte's fascination with plants and colors has been an incessant source of joy over the past several years, and she can hardly stop coloring once she's at it. It was Lotte's aunt who first introduced her to the art of plant coloring, and her passion for colors, plants and wool rubbed off on her. Lotte loves the surprise and excitement that comes with every time you fish a new color out of the pot.
