A colorful workshop with your favorite colors.

You bring a color inspiration, mix yarn colors and color your yarn based on your inspiration.

**Description: **

Maybe a yarn should be dyed with 3-4 different colors? Maybe another yarn has 2-3 color shades?

Dorthe presents you with different dyeing techniques so that you achieve exciting expressions in the hand-dyed yarn. She also showcases inspiration for knitting with the use of hand-dyed yarn. The colors are environmentally friendly, clean and light.

You can dye yarn spun from 100% natural fibres such as protein fibres (wool, alpaca, silk, mohair, yak ox, etc.) or plant fibres (flax, cotton, hemp, ramie etc.). Blended yarns ex 50% wool and 50% cotton will produce fuzzy colors.

It requires no prior knowledge of coloring in order to participate.

**Participants must bring: **

\ - Your color inspiration, an image (printed or on your phone) or physical object, where these are the colors you want to reproduce on your yarn. A picture of a flower from your garden? or you bring a blue clam...

\ - The yarn you want to dye max 600gr yarn can be dyed in total.

\ - NOTE! The yarn must NOT contain spinning oil or lanolin

\ - Dyed on white yarn, bright colors are obtained.

\ - Exciting color options can arise, by dyeing on already dyed yarn, ex yarn residues. The color applied blends with the yarn color (e.g. yellow yarn is dyed with blue color, then the yarn becomes green). Dyed on dark yarns, it will not be so obvious.

\ - It is a great advantage that the yarns are laid in bold, IMPORTANT that the 2 yarn ends are tied together and a piece of yarn is tied around the fat so that the threads are kept.

\ - Practical attire/apron
