Cut in knitwear

On the course Mastering Steeks, we will master the art of knitwear cutting — a technique that allows you to cut into your knitwear to create openings such as cardigans or armholes.

We will learn:

• What steeking (cut into knitwear) is and why it is a gamechanger for multicoloured and seamless knitwear.
• How to prepare your knitwear for clipping, including how to secure the stitches to prevent work from stringing up.
• Various methods of reinforcement, such as crochet and sewing, so you can choose the one that works best for you.
• How to confidently cut into your knitwear, with tips to make the process stress-free.
• Finishing techniques that give your project a nice and professional expression.

At the end of the master class, the goal is that the participants feel completely comfortable cutting in knitwear and are ready to add this transformative technique to their knitting repertoire!

**Participants must bring: **

4 mm circular needle

100% wool yarn suitable for stick 4 in three different colors

Mask markers

Scissors

Crochet hook and woolen needle

**About the Educator: **

Marina Storm is a passionate knitting designer. Born in Greece, studied in Spain and now lives in Germany with her husband and two children.
