Lecture: raw feminism

In the world of Raw Feminism - Mette Henius is the woman behind Henius Knitwear. Mette is a knitwear designer and lives on Bornholm.

Mette designs are very feminine and most often combined with slightly raw details. That's why Mette calls her design style Raw Feminism.

Mette talks about starting her own business as a full-time knit designer and in the lecture you will be able to experience selected of Mette's designs in a mini fashion show. You will hear about her designs. What inspires and the approach to each design - and all that lies behind it, the search for the good and perfect images for social media versus real life. All peppered with anecdotes from real life.

There will be lots of bling, glitter, beads and whatever tips for choosing your next knitting project - eg which models will suit our many beautiful women's bodies. It's about creating focus in the right places and emphasizing exactly what we want and hiding what we want.

Mette Henius runs a yarn shop on Bornholm and works as a knitwear designer, where she is known for her “raw feminism” and playing with beads. In addition, Mette also gives lectures and teaches. Occasionally, she also works on freelance assignments within the knitting world. Among other things, you can watch or rewatch TV2 Bornholm's series “Nu knitkker jeg” - here Mette is featured in all six episodes. The series can be seen on TV Play nationwide.
