Curious about Greek knitting technique?

This beginner-friendly workshop will teach you the basics of knitting with the yarn around your neck — a method that makes crochet stitches easier, faster and more comfortable. In this workshop, Marina will use one of her easiest but still best-selling designs: Fall Wheat, a beautiful lace sweater.

***NOTE: This workshop is in English. The instructor can answer questions in German and Spanish. ***

In this workshop you will be taught the following techniques based on the Greek knitting style:
• To knit right and wrong
• To make all types of outs and intakes
• To read and follow a chart
• To understand the meaning of the different diagram symbols
• To explain the entire construction of the design
• Knitting the lace from the diagram

**After the workshop you will have gotten better at: **
• **Improved tension control: ** Learn to achieve an even and uniform knit strength so that your knitwear will be nicer and your stitches more uniform.
• **Better posture & less strain: ** With the yarn around your neck, your hands and wrists move less, reducing fatigue and tension — ideal for those with arthritis or joint pain.
• **Effective stitch changes: ** Switch effortlessly between straight and crotch stitches to make it easier to knit rib, bead knits and patterns.
• **Basics of colorism: ** Build up important skills for advanced techniques, such as Greek coloristics.

**Participants must bring: **

· A key of yarn (max. 20 g)
· 4 mm knitting needles
· Mask markers
