Sisters not twins — stocking workshop

Sisters not twins are stockings that match but are not identical. Get fit and fun on your feet while using up all your leftovers.

A few years ago, Dorte started knitting stockings with all her hosiery yarn leftovers, and it was really cool. The socks didn't look the same, but Dorte used the same colors/tones, so it was obvious that they were a pair. The name of the socks became Sisters not twins, and that concept has taken hold. Now Dorte makes yarn packs in different themes and conducts workshops in the method. You can now take part in this workshop under Masks i Marsken 2026.

In such a workshop, we are going to talk about:

· Putting colors together
· The width and course of the stripes
· Yarn volumes and the ability to put even the smallest scraps into play.

**Participants must bring: **

Put your stocking sticks or a 2.5/3 mm 80 cm round needle in your project bag along with your garter yarn leftovers that fit the sticks.

If you don't have enough leftovers, don't despair, because I'll bring mine. They cost 1 kr. per gram. The running length of these is about 200 m for 50 grams.
